Exporting Images From Dentrix Ascend

Challenge

We need to transfer an image to an external request.

Cause

Solution

1. Open up Patient inside of Ascend that you need to export images from.
2. Open up Images and select the image you need to export.

3. Click Share (1)

   

4. If the selected option isn't Download (1) click the Arrow (2) then Download (3) 

   

5.  Then click Share (1)

   

6.  The file will download to your Documents folder. Open File Explorer and click Documents (1) then click the Image (2) that was exported and update the name from the string of characters and numbers.

   

7. Send the attachment as an encrypted email or via a web portal.
